| Aunt Sally Cookies Ingredients

Cookie:
1 cup sugar
2 cups shortening
1 cup sour milk
2 tsp. salt
1 tbs. cinnamon
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 egg yolks
1 cup molasses
5-6 cups flour
4 tsp. soda
1 tbs. ginger
Frosting:
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
18 large marshmallows
2 egg whites
Instructions :
Cookie:
Mix all ingredients and chill 30 minutes. Roll out to 1/8
inch thick and cut with a Spam can. Bake 350/375 for 10
minutes or until browned.
Frosting:
Put sugar, vinegar, water and marshmallows in double
boiler. when marshmallows are melted, add egg whites and
beat seven minutes. Add powdered sugar and vanilla and
frost cookies.
