Calamari In Tomato Sauce

Ingredients :
3 lbs. frozen calamari (squid) thawed and cleaned
1/2 cup oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 tsp. red chili peppers crushed
1 can tomato sauce (approx. 2 cups)
1 tbs. parsley, chopped
salt to taste
2 tbs. red wine

Instructions :
1) Cut calamari into small strips. Place in saucepan and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes (do not add water)

2) Drain all but 1 cup of liquid. Add oil, garlic, chili pepper, sauce, parsley and salt. cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Add wine and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

3) Adjust seasonings to taste. Serve over cooked rice or noodles.
