Pea and Cheese Salad

Servings: 4 to 6

1 cup cubed sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped sweet pickle, drained
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup mayonnaise
2 1/2 cups canned peas, drained
lettuce leaves

Combine all ingredients except lettuce. Chill until serving time. Serve mounded on lettuce leaves.
VARIATION: For a main dish, add 2 cups cubed cooked ham and 1 teaspoon prepared mustard.
